I know the first few weeks can be rough.

Did you get paperwork from your doctor? If not, I would suggest calling them and asking for an after care packet that includes diet information.

Your Dr. should have given you instructions. My Dr. required 2 weeks of liquid (any). And then two weeks of mushy or fork smashed. I started having meat then. Fork smashed chicken salad, tuna and even some beef. Just check with your Dr. before you change your diet.

Good luck.

If you're on liquids and limited softs, check whether mashed potato is allowed. I have found that mashed potato and gravy to be my saviour this week when on a quest for the same sort of thing, something warm, easy to get down but still requires "eating" if you know what I mean.

I was required to do a week of liquids only, then a week of mushies, then was able to 'eat normally' on week three. I ate a lot of mashed potatoes and gravy, and even like oatmeal, which was super filling. Good luck to you!
