Hi, I'm just new to this site. I am having surgery on 21st May, I'm a bit nervous about it but eager to get it done. I was reading a few comments there and saw that I have to go on a liquid diet before the op, I wasn't aware of this so I'm glad I came across this forum as there's lots about the surgery that I'm not sure of. Hi and welcome to LBT. When do you have your next appointment with your surgeon? I would definitely ask him/her what the pre-op diet requirements are.

I've not had a pre op meeting yet, ive arranged everything over the phone and the internet, my first pre op meeting is one week before the surgery, so until then I am trying to learn as much as possible about the surgery.

Definitely check with your doctor about his/her pre-op requirements. All are different about what they want you to do and occasionally there are some who don't require any pre-op diet. Good luck to you and be sure to let us know how you are doing!
