I'm getting banded next week in NYC by Dr. Fielding - assuming my chest cold clears up.

Dr. Fielding's office at NYU is a really high volume establishment, and he's one of the most experienced lap banders in the country. The cool thing about Fielding, though, is that he's had a lap band himself for the last 8 years or so.

I was banded on New Years Eve 07 in San Antonio Texas. Doctor Wright from South Texas Surgeons did my surgery at the NIX Hosp. Had my second fill and feel great and seeing some weight come off. :blushing:

I'm very close to Texarkana, Texas. I was banded recently, on Feb. 22nd. So far, I'm down 33 lbs, counting pre-op diet.

Steve From Chanute Kanzass (S.E. Kansas, 2 hrs south of KC)

Banded Feb. 5, 2008 started out 320, lost 45lbs during diet, weighed in this mornin at 279. Creeped back up to 284 but averages around 280.

Not due for my first fill untill Mar. 12, cant wait to get that "full" feeling after just a few bite's. Good luck to everyone, Steve

Melisa, I personally had very little pain to speak of. I had to stay overnight and this probably helped. I had more of a discomfort sensation than pain. I felt as though I could have went to work Thursday (had surgery on 2-25-08). I had to see my Cardiologist and PCP on Thursday so will go to work Monday (I am off on Fridays).

I also had none of the "gas Problems" most people have described.

I live outside of Austin,Tx was banded by Dr. Marsden on 2-26-08. I was expecting thyis to be a lot worst than it has been so for not bad at all some gas some pain in the shoulder. But after reading all the post on different site new how to handle it. So fae so good.
