I live outside of Austin,Tx was banded by Dr. Marsden on 2-26-08. I was expecting thyis to be a lot worst than it has been so for not bad at all some gas some pain in the shoulder. But after reading all the post on different site new how to handle it. So fae so good.

I was banded on 2-26-08 the surgery was not bad at all I am having soups and protien shakes now and next week will be having soft foods. I thought this was going to be worst than it has been.

It sounds to me the Doctors office is not real interested or educated on dealing with Atena I would check with other Dr's in the area and see if they are willing to help you. Good Luck

I talked to a lady from Atena this morning. She called and wanted to talk to me about the surgery and while talking to her she said True Results was a pleaserue to work with they sent just what was needed. She also said that she worked for the IBM division and that IBM wanted people approved for this surgery if needed. Good luck and hope you hear real soon about your approveal.

I have been wondering about how long it takes sometimes for Atena. I am retired from IBM and I do not know for sure but this maybe a different Division of Atena the reason ours went through so fast. I sure hope everyone finds out soon it is nerve racking waitng. GOOD LUCK

The paper work for me and my wife was submitted on 1-28 and we got approved today and we are to use Dr Marsden. We will have the surgery in Austin .True Results took care of all paper work just went to them for 12 weeks. I was really afraid that it was going to be a problem having Atena just did what they wanted.

I hope everything went well If atena approves me I will use Dr. Marsden also I hear alot of good things about him.

No, just the just the 4 months with true results. Today was the last visit with them and they are sending it to Atena today, I will find out if it works or not.

Good for you I have been going to True Results in Austin since Oct. doing the 3 months of dieting and phys. evaluation for the Atena approval what was the biggest problem that you had to get approved. They will submit the paper work on Jan 23 for approval. Then the wait starts.

I live in the Austin area and have been going to True Results on Palmer hope to send in to Insurance on 1-23-08 for approval we have been getting all the requirements to send in. My wife is also planning to have the band also after mine. The people at True Results have been easy to work with I just hope the Atena goes approves the WLS.
