well, i finally did it! After weeks of just reading posts i decided to join LBT. I just started my journey but am quite excited. I thought i could use the added support from you guys since it's hard to come by from people who don't get it. I have my consult appt. with my Dr. this friday and can't wait!! everything else checked out for me so i may have my surgery set up for March 10...can't believe it's really happening!! i am having to do this "self-pay" becaus my ins. wouldn't cover me. Wish me luck....:biggrin:

Congrats on getting a date and starting a new chapter of your life!! I am also self-pay and I am learning how much easier it is to stay motivated to lose some pre-op weight when the money is coming out of my own pocket. I figure that I am 29 and have a whole lot of living left to do and this is just the first step.
