Waiting for surgery

Hi, my name is Nikki. I am 34 and waiting anxiously to get banded on March 20. I can't wait but have so many questions, fears, and hopes. I found this forum and hope to start finding the answers and put some of my fears to rest. I am a high school reading teacher in Arizona, married and have 3 beautiful daughters. I can't wait to be healthy and thin again!!!

Thanks so much...wow...i'm new at all of this and at the the whole band topic...this is confusing...lol...this is gonna take time to get used to

I'm an Arizona teacher too! Good Luck..I'm hoping to hear about my insurance approval next week...then a lap date!! Sounds fun!

Great for you..it is a definite step! I have been following an exercise regimine and nutrition program since Dec. 11th, 2007. Not that I didn't before...this is just very supervised...I figure...all the toning and progress I make now while waiting makes it that much less of a battle after surgery so...good luck to us all!

Hi! I am an elementary Media Specialist in Mesa, AZ I was a classroom teacher for 10 years and this for 14! My how time flies by....I am so excited for you! I am waiting to schedule...I should hear soon???

Today was a great day! My "case worker" has all my stuff finally...My insurance does not include banding until 3/01/08. We were going to submit on 3/3 (Monday). Anyway, the director of my benefit department e-mailed me (she said with the new language she didn't want my file to accidentally get denied) so she gave me the info for the contact person for my insurance and then she e-mailed me too. My case worker then sent on my file today!!!Yea! I hope it all goes smooth and I get approved so I can get the date!! How much school will you miss..if any???

Hey, how do I get the cute ticker thing on my reply?

Hi Niki, I'm in AZ too! Congratulations on your new and upcoming journey! I was just banded a week ago, and I found out that just when I thought I was well informed.. I'm really not.. so keep studying!

Good luck!

Dr. FRANCISCO GONZALEZ from TJ Mexico @ The Grand Hotel Tower. DONT ANYONE EVER USE HIM, I ALMOST DIED FROM HIS MALPRACTICE, HE IS NO GOOD NEVER USE HIM. THEY PROMISE YOU EVERYTHING, BUT WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG THEY WILL NOT ANSWER YOUR CALLS OR SEE YOU!!!

Maya, what was your biggest concern that you were not informed about? Please share...good luck!
