Shower Post Op

Hi -- I am scheduled for surgery on Friday (2/1), how long after surgery did you all have to wait to take a shower? Thanks. Cynthia

I was told I could take a shower the day of surgery if I wanted to. They actually told me it was a good thing to let the warm water fun over my incisions. But ask your doctor just in case. By the way, it felt awesome to take a shower! (No baths til the scabs are gone - it's okay for the incisions to get wet, but not okay to soak them)

Since you just had it done, I wanted to know how you felt the few days after.-I will have the banding done in 4/08 and I'm getting nervous. Who did you use?Elisa

I am scheduled for this Friday ... so I am in the same place as you are. I'm having it done in St. Louis with Dr. Wagner.

I only had to wait 24 hours as well, that first shower was wonderful! Of course I was a little sore...and don't drop the soap (lol) cause there is no way you will be able to pick it up! Good luck on your surgery :wink2:
