I hit a milestone - 100 pounds gone!

Hi everyone:

I'm very excited and proud to let you all know that I'm officially down 100 pounds today. I was banded 7/26/07, and started dieting 4/23/07. I'm down 100 pounds just shy of 9 months.

Yippee.....I celebrated by having one piece of toast with Peanut Butter for breakfast! Yeah, I know - no food rewards......ooops.

Now I'll get off that cloud and come back down and lose 64 more pounds to get to goal. I'm guessing that will take me another 12 months, but hey it's alot easier to handle being 64 pounds overweight than 164 pounds overweight!

Thanks everyone for your support.

I'll fix my ticker next week on 6 month bandiversary.

Sue

Sarah and Chiqui:

I think I walked my ass off, literally. I started walking just a half hour each day. Now I'm up to 2 hours per day, 6 days per week. During the week I do it in four or five sessions. Three times a day I walk 15 to 20 minutes each, and during my lunch hour I walk for 50 minutes. Then, whatever's left I walk at night, or go on the dreaded eliptical machine.

I got a great MP3 player - a Zune by Dell. I love, love, love it. I listen to great music and the time passes quicker.

Popsicles have helped save my life. sugar free, of course. I love all of them, but especially the pineapple one's.

Another trick I learned, if I feel hungry at night and want to keep eating, I just go to bed earlier than usual. Or, at least go watch tv in bed instead of being in the living room - too close to the kitchen.

Another thing, I have a great Daughter. She's in college, and stays there during the week, but comes home each weekend. If she leaves any "goodies" behind I make sure that I bring them to one of my neighbors on Monday when I get home so that I'm not tempted.

Those are a few of my tricks. Let me know when you develop some of your own. The more we share, the more success we'll all have.

I had all my pre-op teahing today and met a group of ladies having surgery the sam day as me. I got a lot of good tips but really won't get it till it's done. What do you know about protein powder waht is the best to get? Sounds like I'll be using a lot of it while on full liquids for the next 2 weeks. ready to get this done!!!

I am sooooooooooooo!!! happy for you! You are an inspiration to us all!:thumbup::crying::thumbup:
