New from NJ

Hi everyone!! I am 28 and I made my first appointment with the Surgeon for Jan 14th. I have been doing alot of research on the lap band and have decided it is the way I want to go. I am so thankful to have found this site, it has given me alot of insight into the pre-op and post-op.

Hello and congrats on making the decision to go for the band.

I am also in NJ (Hunterdon CO) and used Dr. Abkin in Florham Park. I was operated on at Morristown Memorial and have been ridiculously thrilled with my band. I hope you have the same experience.

Welcome and best of luck.

Hi... I am in South Jersey too. Burlington County. I went to Dr Kirkland. He is awesome! I was banded on 10/4. I have lost 45 pounds so far. He believes in fill & not making you wait. I could have had 3-4 fills by now but i have only had 1- 1/2 cc's put in & I do not need any right now. It feels great! Good luck!

hello....another Jersey girl here. I am from central Jersey and just got banded on Jan. 3rd. I am in the starving stage!!!! I only have to do liquid for 1 week and cant wait till it is over. I am ready for another stage and to just add something else into my stomach. Oh well, I have high hopes for the future. Good luck to all
