Hi. I've been approved, but haven't gotten the lapband yet. I'm wondering if you can still take baths once you have the lapband? I was wondering if it causes a problem with the port? Please excuse me for asking a silly question... but I do love taking bubble baths! Thanks.

You'll need to wait a couple of weeks until the incisions are completely healed but then you'll be able to take bubble baths again. In the meantime, you can shower but you're not supposed to soak your incisions while they're healing.

Ditto, after the incisions heal yes you can take a bath, enjoy a hot tub, etc. The port is placed under the muscle. Julie

The port is not exposed. You can't see it and nothing can get into it (without a needle).
