Finally seems real ...

Hi --

I am Cynthia in St. Louis. I've been considering surgery for a year and have finally completedly all of the pre-work for insurance. My insurance changes 1/1/08 so I should know about coverage and have a date in a few weeks. It finally seems real and is exciting, but also scary ... looking forward to this adventure.

Good luck on your approval!

Welcome to the group. Iam from St. Louis also. Who is your doctor? My wife and I were banded in Sept. 07 and doing well. If you have any questions just e-mail and will try to help steer you in the right direction. We had are bands done by Dr. Minkin at Des Pres.

Chris

I know what you mean about it being an adventure and scared at the same time. I just finally made my decision to have the band instead of the RYN. I wanted to wait til I did as much research as possible before even calling a doctor.

Good luck on getting approval and surgery date!!

Good luck to you! I am scheduled for Jan 8th and am both excited and nervous. I had my first consultation Nov 5th and had my date by December 1st. Hang in there. Good luck to you!

Welcome Cynthis McC,

Congrats on your decision, I am waiting as well.

Best wishes Lana
