For me, I ended up getting human sacrifices lol

When I would have cravings, for lets say some chips, I would ask a coworker or friends "Hey I want some Hot Cheetos , if I buy a bag, would you eat the rest for me?" of course most people won't turn down free food, so I would buy my bag of chips, eat about 5 or 6 pieces and them immediately give up the bag for them to finish off for me

This works for me because sometimes I just want a taste of something, and this is the best way I found where I can get my craving satisfied without breaking my diet. So it's a running joke at my job that I have human sacrifices 😅

I keep myself in check with a daily diet diary. I stick rigidly most of the time to my protein goal. I still have 5 small meals a day.

I dont buy icecream unless its a special occasion. I buy better for me snacks, so nuts, dates, plenty of fruit, some good cheese. If I crave chocolate I buy small dark chocolate bars because if I bought a large bar I would still eat the lot in one go and know it will make me vomit. I buy low calorie ice lollies and low calorie snacks in small bags. Our super markets sell lots of variety under 100 calories.

I get by. I am skinny. I walk in a better place but some days its damn hard.

Find your middle ground. I hope its not a battlefield.

Food noise at night was a killer for me. I know a lot of people are against glp1 but the difference is amazing. I can go to a birthday party and say no to the cake.. and I'm ok with it. Food noise silenced. I stock my offices snacks.. that used to kill me because I would buy all the things I love and then torture myself. I can walk past them with no issue now. I used to be a "bored" eater too. That's a huge thing that I've been able to stop.

To be honest ive been doing my very best to transition to a more whole food approach. I am guilty of protein supplementation to support my weight training however I really just am wanting to fuel my body with single ingredient food. It’s helped with food noise because I dont entertain junk food really but its hard and I do give into temptation once in a while

Temptation should be my middle name. What happened to my super power that could say - no thank you, not today.

I'm 10 years post-op (well, I will be in September). I successfully kept the weight off after my sleeve surgery for about 7-ish years, but slowly, slowly it started to creep back. It didn't seem to matter what I did, it was coming back. I know what it was- I got lazy, I'd eat just one more bite, have one more drink, etc. It was to the point where I wasn't really feeling the restriction of my sleeve and although I wasn't eating anywhere near as much as when I started all this, I was eating more and slowly, slowly putting on some pounds. I was trying to "not" but it didn't matter. Last summer I realized two things: The food chatter was back, and I didn't let them cut out my stomach to gain the weight back! I talked with folks and went to a local wellness group and started on tirzepatide. I'm down 35 pounds since August, the food chatter is gone, and I can feel the restriction of my sleeve once again. I don't want to stay on the glp-1 forever, but it has been an amazingly helpful tool in getting me back on track!

Also... I don't know how to edit my profile but my current weight is 179 pounds.
