The clock is ticking. This morning I woke up and had to drink my breakfast... I already miss chewing and I have a LONG way to go. I am on a two day liquid diet before my surgery early Monday morning. My problem is I did not write down what time to stop liquids the night before and of course since it is a weekend there is no way to get a hold of my doctor or nurse to double check. I did call the hospital and talk to a nurse on staff, but she was not sure as she doesn't handle any pre-surgery planning. She guessed that 8pm would be ok... I think I will stop at 7 to be sure, that would be 12 hours before surgery. My question is - how long did you have to stop drinking anything the night before your surgery? Thanks for any help you can give me! ?
