Hi all,

This hit for me, I follow this guy on Youtube and he's great! He is not about the diet culture, he really focuses on the relationship with food and exercise. Check him out!

Love it! By the way, I also have a Ninja Creami and my latest passion is trying new recipes for protein ice cream. And yes, chunks of snickers have found their way into my creations. ?

He's definitely on point with all of this, though I suspect most folks need some help and guidance on how to actually implement these things. I also agree that are no BAD foods, but there are definitely some that are better for you than others. Balance is important, and that may be the one point I'd add to what he said. Yes, eat all the foods, just make sure your "all" includes the salad and the veggies and the fruit and the whole grains, etc.

yes!! In another video he shows him eating a candy bar...He says I am eating this before my cravings get to out of control, so if you eat what your craving when its a level 2 instead of a level 10 you wont get out of control. When we restrict ourselves so much is when we tend to fail and that balance is so important. He also focuses on protein with every meal. This is so true for me. I eat for the most part really well, whole foods, high protein, low in fat and moderate in carbs. But I do eat something sweet every night lol! usually a Yasso ice cream bar or a protein ice cream I make in the creami. But I def will have a mini snickers or two lol

My base recipe is mostly:

  • Either ~12 oz of a fairlife protein drink, or fairlife whole milk depending of what flavor I'm going for
  • ~1.5 Tbs unflavored whey protein isolate
  • ~2 Tbs instant pudding
  • ~1 ts extract of your choice
  • Add additional sugar substitute of your choosing if you like it sweeter

This normally takes 1 spin on Lite Ice Cream and 1-2 re-spins. For me this is 2 servings, though YMMV.

Sometimes, especially if I used a protein drink as the base, I'll use a little less of that and add in some Greek Yogurt to make it creamier. I personally don't like it if it's more than about 4 Tbs because it tends to be a bit tart for my tastes.

Here's a more specific example I made recently (and just finished off today):

  • 12 oz Fairlife whole milk
  • ~1.5 Tbs Isopure whey protein isolate
  • ~2 Tbs Butterscotch instant pudding
  • ~6 drops ultra-concentrated Rum Extract
  • Splenda to taste (I didn't measure)
  • I added walnuts as a mix in

Now it's your turn to share!

@SpartanMaker I love butterscotch! Sounds delicious!!

My go to's are:

1Cup FF Fairlife

1C Unsweetened Almond milk

1Tbl of FF SF pudding mix

1 scoop of Isopure- usually vanilla or chocolate

Swerve to taste

*if I do chocolate I'll add PB2 for a peanut butter taste

Or Ill just do a fairlife protein shake and add the pudding mix

My favorite one that I made thus far has been:

120ml of lite unsweetened coconut milk

285mil of unsweetened almond milk

1 scoop of vanilla isopure

1tbls of SF FF chocolate fudge pudding mix

1 tsp of cake batter extract

1 tsp of raw cacao

1tbls of swerve brown sugar

The coconut milk really elevates the flavor and creaminess. Its higher in calories but in my option worth it! My recipes always makes 2 large servings!

I live by this.

Everything in moderation. I love my protein, salads and fruit, and also love my bread, snacks and my treats.

I can't imagine not being able to eat out, try new dishes, new desserts and cuisines. I eat small portions of everything, but I will try everything. A balanced life is very important to me, and cutting out food/food groups just isn't sustainable for me or my lifestyle.

On my way to toast some olive and sundried tomato slice of sourdough and slather it with feta and olive oil (YUMMERS).
