Pre-surgery cold

My surgery date is December 13th. I am now developing a cold. I have been taking everything possible and using every precaution to keep myself healthy, but the little bug has gotten in anyway. Will this endanger my ability to have the procedure on the 13th?

You will be ok unless you get other symptoms like a chesty cough/ bronchitis. Then you may need a chat with the anaesthetist.

I got a cold on December 3rd and my surgery is also scheduled for the 13th. Surgery sisters haha! I feel much better thankfully, but I did inform my bariatric team last week. Hope to hear from them tomorrow when they are back in to see if they will proceed. Hoping for us both!!
