Day 2 of pre-op diet

It's day 2 of my pre-op liver shrinking diet and I'm already dragging. My eyes can barely stay open...

I'll have 28 days of just shakes and a lean supper. I'm hoping I can still go to the gym

  • I wish you luck! These pre-op & liquid post op diets are the hardest part. Once you finish this I swear you feel like you can conquer anything lol

  • Pre-op diet is the worst part of it all, in my opinion. Before you know, you'll be at 6 months post-op. You can do it. We're rooting for you.

Its pretty universally miserable the first 3-4 days. Hang in there, it DOES get better and it WILL be worth it!

You can do it, the first 3 days are the hardest, while you adjust to changing the way you eat and your body using shakes as fuel. I was lucky to have a meal per day, but even that way the first few times it was hard not to grab something to eat during the day, after day 3, piece of cake. Remember your why.

How long is your diet

2 weeks of 2 meal replacement protein shakes; 2 low sugar, low fat snacks; 1 healthy choice dinner

Thanks!

I'll try to stay busy so I don't think about it or "feel" it

Yes, I can also have 1 healthy choice dinner and some healthy snacking in between shakes.

But working in a office?! That's the real challenge. Sweets and treats daily. I will most definitely keep the why at the forefront and keep busy

I'm on day 23 of 28. While I'm totally over it, it's pretty easy. It definitely gets easier after a few days when you enter ketosis. Your diet plan sounds great! Try hard not to cheat on it as that will take you out of ketosis possibly. Each day is one step closer to a healthier happier you. You got this my May buddy!

Maybe for some moderate cardio. The lack of calories really takes a toll on your energy levels

Yeah I take my dog for a walk in the evening after work plus I'm up and down ladders at work. But I wanna keep my muscle cause I've heard it help keep fat off. I'm in touch with a bariatric trainer. I'm so excited for this new chance at life with out joint pain

I hadn't even thought about a bariatric trainer. I'm definitely going to look into that now lol

  • 1 month later...
Did anyone have acid indigestion on the liquid diet? I am in day 6 and I am feeling acid indigestion like crazy and it is super uncomfortable…
