I would ring your doc and ask. This pill cant hang about waiting for answers

Google says oral birth control (including emergency contraception) are not recommended after bariatric surgery, because of malabsorption issues. Might want to get the implant.

It is safe, but it may not be fully effective due to the malabsorption.

this didn't apply to me since i was post-menopausal when I had my surgery, but I remember them telling us in the classes to use two forms of birth control for the first few months (they didn't mention malabsorption, but this makes sense. Plus people tend to be a lot more fertile after surgery)
