Hello I'm just a few days out from sleeve surgery. In 2 days, I get to eat ..EAT...CHEW my first meal since December 1st! Like to know ...what was your first meal and how'd it go?

Most people are on a strict liquid only diet for a few weeks after surgery to allow the stomach to heal. i did fairlife protein shakes for the first couple weeks after surgery. Once i was approved for soft foods the first thing i ate was a quail egg. I did quail eggs because they are much smaller and two little eggs was still too much at that time.

Half a scrambled egg was my first real post-op meal & it was glorious. I savored every bit of it!!

Hi, sorry, I wasn't clear. I am 2 weeks post op and having my 1st meal in 2 days. I've been on liquids since Dec 1st. 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after.

Custard was offered to me the day after surgery but the thought of it made me heave. One of the earliest foods I can remember eating was tiny slivers of hard cheese, melted on my tongue. I wanted salty not sweet
