    chew? and only 2 days post op? What are you eating? Most people are on a strict liquid only diet for a few weeks after surgery to allow the stomach to heal. i did fairlife protein shakes for the first couple weeks after surgery. Once i was approved for soft foods the first thing i ate was a quail egg. I did quail eggs because they are much smaller and two little eggs was still too much at that time.

    Custard was offered to me the day after surgery but the thought of it made me heave. One of the earliest foods I can remember eating was tiny slivers of hard cheese, melted on my tongue. I wanted salty not sweet

    Half a scrambled egg was my first real post-op meal & it was glorious. I savored every bit of it!!
