I got cleared by my program to go ahead with surgery! They're submitting prior authorization to my insurance now and I should be getting my surgery date sometime in January, with the actual surgery sometime between February and April.

I'm just sort of in shock; deep down I figured that they would decide for some reason that I wasn't a good candidate, like last time.

I'm excited. Still have a lot to lose before surgery though. My goal is 50% of EBW lost by my surgery date and I have a ways to go for that, but it feels doable now!
