Pain after surgery

I had sleeve converted to bypass due to severe GERDS and H/h on 5.20. I spent weekend in hospital and wondering if anyone has struggled with a lot of pain on the right side. Weird I had pain in my back as well but the tenderness to stand up and sit down is hard. I can't lay in my bed yet, have to sleep elevated on my back due to the extreme tenderness on my side. Did anyone else struggle. I have 1 week follow up appt with doc Friday, but this pain is pretty rough. I am walking and have finally started passing gas but no BM yet. If you had pain, how long did it last?

Week 3.5 from sleeve to bypass and still having pain. The internal stitch can be painful up to week 6 is what I hear.

I had the sleeve and the pain on the left where they removed my stomach HUUUURT. Had pain for 2 1/2 weeks. I'm exactly 3 weeks post op today and I finally don't have pain anymore. It definitely takes time to feel better.

I am 8 days post op, band to RNY. Pain was intense first few days. Yesterday, hardly any pain but this morning is a different story. I do find that I have tolerable pain when I wear my binder. Only one BM since surgery, so going to start the Miralax today.

Remember to take it easy and only do as much as your body will allow. Best of luck and love on your journey and hope you have relief sooner than later.
