Soft Food Phase

My doctor guidelines stated that whole wheat toast is allowed during the soft food phase. Anyone else had similar guidelines like this ? Just curious.

It has to be toasted because drying it out a bit makes it less likely to swell up in your stomach and make it difficult to digest.

I've had one piece of toast since I started soft foods and it just didnt do a whole lot for me, but you can have it. I'd be careful with any whole wheat bread with seeds or nuts in it though because those typically aren't allowed on the soft foods diet.

It’s so interesting how there are so many different rules. My doctor said no bread for a year ?! Lol
