Liquid diet ideas

I’m on a liquid diet for the first week. I did fine with protein shakes the first couple days but now I’m feeling I need more. I know of broth and Jello but what other ideas do you guys have for a liquid diet?

  • Plain broth is gross to me, instead I cook a can of chicken noodle soup and just strain it and toss the chicken and noodles out. So good.

  • Yes!!! I did end up doing that and it was so much better!!

I am in the last week of my full liquid diet and I have to say I'm struggling with it.. I am lactose intolerant so anything milk based is out of the question, so pretty much I've done sugar free jello

Sugar free popsicles!

Have you tried protein soups? That can be a good way to get protein. The BariatricPal store used to have a Southwest Chili flavored soup that I loved, but it doesn’t look like they have it anymore. They still have several other flavors, though.

i also love protein hot chocolate. It tastes like normal hot chocolate and it’s a nice change of pace from protein shakes. I make it with Fairlife milk instead of water for even more protein.

No I haven’t tried those!! I’m checking out the bariatric store now. I’m definitely in the mood for something with a different flavor. Thanks so much for the recommendations.

Do you have a specific brand or anything you like?

My favorite is the BariatricPal brand (the same thing is also sold on Amazon as Bariwise, New York Bariatric Group, etc.), but now I buy the Proti-Diet canister on Amazon because it’s cheaper per serving.
