I recently had a complete hysterectomy and I have gained 20lbs I weigh more now than when I went in to have it now I’m considering gastric sleeve. I was already over weight and I’m borderline diabetic on top of high blood pressure and high cholesterol! I had my hysterectomy back in March so when would be the best time to have weight loss surgery?

I would think your doctor or weight loss surgeon would be the best one to advise when the right time to have weight loss surgery after a hysterectomy. If you are not self pay most insurance (dependent where you are) would require a six month pre program anyway, so it would be worth your while to get the ball rolling sooner than later.

I say ask a doctor - But the sooner the better you will love it

Hey! This is just for your reference, my sister had brain surgery 6/2018 & had her gastric sleeve 8/2018. Doctors said she was healed enough to do it that soon, I think you may be fine!
