Too much carbs and it can also swell up and turn to glue in your belly...

I do eat rice occasionally, typically with sushi but I didnt start until couple months after surgery.

My doc allowed rice after the 4 month post op mark, 1/4 cup brown rice

I was told a definitive and very big NO to rice. Try cauliflower/broccoli rice which is nutritious & won’t swell in your stomach. Remember we can only fit a small amount of food in our stomach so why waste the space on foods that offer no or little nutritional value.

Hell NO TO RICE - To early to carb and no value - Plus that swells up and you are going to be hating life!

No rice is a carb limit it
