Okay so I'm 5 days post op and I haven't been able to keep anything down. I've also have had some severe diarrhea. I can't even get a little bit of my protein shakes down or water. Is there anything that will help, because I don't want to end up back in the hospital for dehydration. Thanks

You definitely need to call your doctor. They need to know you can't keep anything down because it's not normal. They will know how to best guide you. Good luck!

Thank you so much. I was planning on calling him tomorrow. I just wanted to see if I can get any relief for tonight.

I agree call but this is typical it was 7 days before i could finally level out - Sip water non stop and ice chips most likely it is the blood in your stomach from surgery that is messing you up once it is gone all gets well
