With the lap band, if my sips got a bit too big, I would feel restriction. 2 weeks out since surgery and I can take large gulps ( not intentionally) and no restriction.

Sleevers? Do you feel restriction when drinking mindlessly?

Take it slow. Even at three weeks out your stomach is continuing to heal. I remember feeling some restriction but not with water. Go figure. I just got full quick.

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow, just tried gulping more than a mouthfull and had no issue. I still have food restriction.

I've never been a gulper, even before sleeve surgery, so sipping is normal for me. Try to reign it in.
