Perhaps you need something else inbetween before you go to solids...you have been on mostly liquids (with some yoghurt or hummus) for a while, maybe try some pureed foods for a week or two, then do a

Your meal should take about 15 to 20 minutes. One small bite at a time, chew chew and keep chewing until its pulverised. Swallow, and start again. Do not eat quickly, it can take up to 20 minutes b

You have to retrain your tum just as someone said, like an infant. So you can't easily go from liquids (yogurt is considered a liquid in my program) to dense solids without issues. Use meat lube
Hello there I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong..
I've been on shakes a long time no issues with that or yoghurt consistency...
Soon as I started this week some solids like healthy slice meat or a tiny 2oz chicken free range burger.. I had to chew a lot..
But as the burger was going down i could literally feel it going down my neck into my stomach felt weird and was Almost like indigestion until it settled in my stomach after about 10 mins but then I had to rush to toilet and some clear liquid came back up my throat with a little foam.. It has happened a few times..
Am I eating too quickly? Should I only have one bite then wait then have the next bite?
Rather than just chewing the whole 2oz burger quickly..
I've been doing amazing but until experimenting with solid stuff has not been pleasant...
So far I've tried some sliced meat which was ok but still felt weird going down.. The burger made me throw up some clear stuff...Took time to settle in my belly... Had 2 little cherry tomatoes that didn't agree with me at all came straight back up...
What am I doing wrong??????
Thank you everyone I'm 6.5 weeks post op.
