I am getting a revision and I was approved first thing. I am in complete shock about it. I thought for sure I would have to fight for it. But the revision that my surgeon doing has now become part of the standard of care for bariatric surgeons.

Approved on first letter but of course they denied the actual claim from the hospital.

I am having revision and my Doc wrote a letter of exception. I didn’t have to go through six month nutrition classes. I am low bmi of 33, 5’1 at 183.6 pds. Bcbs called to tell me I was approved for 1 night stay and so excited to finally get this band removed and switched to the sleeve. My insurance was like, we approved it but what’s your weight and are you still diabetic? Which I am but you would think they can see my history since they are my insurance... I had so many complications with the band. My surgery date is 12/31, so crazy but so happy that I will start the new year on the right foot.
