Patience

Brand new to this group. Looking for like minded individuals. I have made the decision but am going through the process of being patient and walking through the steps. Ready for my new life to begin.

Me too! I have just started the process. I had my first consultation with surgeon, dietician and psychiatrist this past Saturday. Where are you in the process?

You'll find all kinds of individuals in groups like this. Guess it depends on where your mind is as far as finding someone "like minded". Some are super strict with what they eat, some are very nonchalant. This forum in particular has been my favorite and is now the only one I still participate in. Its no nonsense but not without occasional drama. Plus participating in the forum gets you discounts in the store which is a great source for high protein food items especially in the early eating stages after your surgery.

Absolutely new to this group.. but glad to see that many have the same questions as I have. Would be great to interact with you all

If any of you are new to the process, and have to go through the 6 months of mandated nutritionist and doctor's visits due to insurance requirements, TRUST ME, the time flies so quickly. In the beginning I absolutely hated the waiting period. My first visit with the surgeon was March 5th, and tomorrow I find out if my insurance will approve the surgery. Can't believe the time flew so quickly. It may feel like you have to wait an eternity when you first start the process, but trust me, it goes by so quickly.
