Can you check yourself out of the hospital once they say you’re free to go? Or do I have to have someone drive me home? (I plan on getting the sleeve)
I really want to do this on my own and not have anyone know what I’m doing until I have everything under control. I don’t have family close by and don’t want my acquaintances to know. Don’t really have many friends I would feel comfortable with picking me up.

If you have the next door app, check and see if one of your neighbors would be willing to pick you up. I noticed that it happens all the time on my neighborhood nextdoor app. Do you belong to a church? Ask someone there. Do you live in my area? I will help ya ?

It depends on your hospital. Mine didn’t ask any questions about who was picking me up. I’m sure I wouldn’t have been allowed to drive, but I could have called a Lyft
