"Just Overweight!"

  • Popular Post

I'm so excited today! I am no longer "Obese." I weighed this morning and am officially "overweight!" My highest recorded weight about 3 yrs ago was 242 lbs. That equals a BMI of 48.9 and is Class 3 Morbid obesity. I had a BMI of 46.2 when I started my bariatric journey last June. Today, at 147 lbs, my BMI is 29.7! I am finally just "overweight!"

Imagine being 147lbs and being told you're overweight. I fluctuate between 155-160 and I'm considered overweight. If you listen to my family and friends they advise me not to lose anymore weight.

  • That's a great feeling! I hope to be there in about 3 months.

I say, if you feel good and your co morbidities are either gone or in remission and your blood work comes back ok then you're not only healthy you're doing quite well. Looks like you're on the right track.

Well I just went from morbid obese to just obese, so I am having a mini- celebration myself. Went into this journey with BMI of over 51. So all this loss is a gain for ME!

Congrats!! I can't wait to get to that point- it has been YEARS!
