I’m actually here, can’t quite believe it after surgery was cancelled for 20th March. Then was supposed to come in last night but they told me not to as lack of beds. Then told to come in for 7am today , then told possibly no beds. But eventually they came to get me from waiting room and I’m sat by my bed and it’s all going ahead. Nerves , anxiety , relief to be here. I’m last on the list.

So a little wait yet. But it’s happening

day one post op I’m doing ok .. gas pain only in sternum and it’s really painful ,,,moving about and walking as much as pain will allow. Can’t drink without pain though everything must be so swollen
