How to break a stall?

Recommended Posts

Well Tip #1, would be to only post your question on one board. We will all see it and anyone who can help, will. But by posting the same question on multiple boards means you flood the Recent Topics Bar with repeats and people get confused about which one to post to.

I didn’t realize they were all connected. I did that because I figured there were others like me who don’t follow ALL forums. But thks anyway.

I think most people when on their PC don't really "follow ALL forums" but rather look to the right where it says recent topics to find what is currently being discussed. It takes a while to learn how this forum works. I didn't realize at first that the mobile app reacted differently than the PC.

Depending on where you're at as far as a timeline, I would say go back to stage one post op and do the ole pouch, or sleeve reset (which ever surgery it is that you had) and incorporate some exercise (or just walking if you just had surgery) into your regimen. If you just had your surgery about three weeks ago, it is normal to stall about that time. Good luck with your stall, you will succeed!

@ED Thks. I keep hearing about the rest but my dr n dietician have stated they don’t agree w that practice n advised against it but I think Monday I’m going to do it for a couple of days. My surgery was in July 2018 n my weight has been the same since Dec.

I think the reset just helps people get back on track with a regimented diet. Once you stop following and tracking your food intake, it's easy to take in bad foods and more calories. I'm only a couple of months out and I stray and have to occasionally ask myself "what the hell did I just eat that for?". LOL... Good luck!

I’m too much of a newbie to offer any advise but I happened across this article while searching for another topic. I thought it had a lot of useful info and I saved it in my favorites for future reference. Although I snickered at the “how to easily....” .

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
