Embrace that this will be hard and you will be cranky. Empty your house of temptation food. Weight loss is fighting the behaviors that never served us well. Use a food app. Log your food for accountability to yourself. The challenge above is a great way to stay on track and support each other.

Good luck with your surgery. How exciting! When I had about a 6 week gap waiting for surgery, I went ahead and started eating 2 oz at a time and only foods that I knew I'd be able to eat after surgery. I wanted to "practice" to be prepared for it. My surgeon had warned us in the seminar about eating like it's our last supper before the surgery and how it would make our livers fat and wouldn't be good for the surgery.

I've gained 15 pounds waiting for my surgery date. I think it's the last suppers and things like that. I'm now on a better track trying to lose the weight before the end of March. Any tips or advice?

LilDanille, I feel you! I’ve had several “food funerals” in the past few weeks. However, I’ve decided that this week, I’m getting back on track - surgery is March 8th. So I’m going back to protein drinks during the day and a healthy dinner.

We got this!!

At least you have a date. That would make a huge difference I believe
