I am in the preop phase of my vsg journey. I’m trying to drink 64 oz of water a day, which is a HUGE change for me!

My question is, is it OKAY to drink Crystal Light every day as my 64 oz of water??? It helps me so much. Does crystal light could as water?

You can (because by most practices any and all liquids count towards hydration goals , except maybe coffee) but you may not want to substitute all water, try (really hard) getting in regular water too

You can (because by most practices any and all liquids count towards hydration goals , except maybe coffee) but you may not want to substitute all water, try (really hard) getting in regular water too. There is no replacement for pure water and what it means to health. Plus there will be times when you won't have Crystal light or other additives, and you'll still need to meet hydration goal. Prepping now can help when challenges arise.

Safe Journey!

I have a 30oz Rtic cup that I put fresh fruit in the bottom and fill it with water. It helps give it a little flavor without all the artificial ingredients. My nutritionist told me it was ok as long as I didn’t eat the fruit. Normally I use pineapple but have also used strawberries or raspberries instead. With the amount of fruit I use I can usually fill it up twice with water.

My program allows 2 crystal lights a day. They rather we drink regular water.

My dietician told me that Crystal Light, Great Value (Walmart) that they count as water, That is what I drink sometimes. I also like my water room temperature. I will drink it cold in the warmer weather.
