Have you been diagnosed with gallbladder issues?

8 to 5 odds he will, it would only benefit you to do so. Among my,other quirks I collect How Many Jokes
How many surgeon's does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer Only 1, but why don't we remove that socket? You're not using it and it will only cause you trouble in the future.
So my best guess: He will. My general surgeon -way back- removed my appendix along with the gall bladder that really needed the surgery!?

Usually it has to be deemed medically necessary (insurance) but ask anyway...

I'm due for surgery on Dec 10th, can I request for the Dr to take out my gallbladder as well???

Why would you want to if you do not have to? I had to have mine out, but I would have rathered not to do it.

It seems like in the older WLS videos I watched, they would automatically take it out. I think there are better medicines now to prevent gallstones. I know rapid weight loss will cause stones unless you're medicated. I wonder if while they are poking around in there, they can tell if you have stones and then cut that thing out?

Well you could be a candidate in the future, you young kids won't have scars on you4 belly l8ke me, mine went back in the bad old days when everything were open incisions. My WLS ones are fading fast, pretty soon they will be part of Stretch Mark City! Just think, I have a 2 month? surgiversity coming up soon! ???

I had my Gastric bypass 7 weeks ago. Before the surgery they saw a lot of gallstones and like you I would eat and have to run to the bathroom. My surgeon said it was not that bad and we can remove it in about 6 months after the surgery. Fast forward last week I had a bad attack which was the pain in the right side that radiated to my back. I also had bad dry heaving and vomiting. I went to the ER and they said we have to take it out now. So please have a conversation with your primary and surgeon.
