October 3rd! I'm nervous! And also excited! Btw, thanks for labeling this thread "2018." There are two other October threads that don't have the year marked, and I really hope some of us stay in

Good for you I can't even lay on my side yet too much pain feels like my whole insides falls to the right. I've been sleeping on my back which I hate smh. That weight gain after discharge was most likely from swelling.

They pumped me full of 8 pounds of fluid! After my syncopal episode, I guess they didn't want to take any chances!

It's an uncomfortable feeling of fullness and pressure right in the middle of my gut.

Hope you are feeling better!

@Yvonne47. I just experienced that. I tried to partially lay on my side and it felt like my insides were dropping. I guess i will attempt to sleep on my back.
@Yvonne47. How far are you out?

Try getting a long pillow and prop under your stomach once on your side. That is the way I've been sleeping and it works! I can't sleep on my back unless I'm on the pain killers lol

@byefat. Thank you. This is my first day home. Surgery was yesterday afternoon. I’ll go find that pillow. I have one somewhere.

Same. Laying on my side makes everything feel so much worse. I had 5 incisions and they all feel like they’re gonna burst open. I had a couple sips of a protein shake and felt full. I’m not sure I’m drinking enough but as long as I pee twice a day Imma call it a win.

Still in pain when I cough sneeze try to get out of bed out if a chair walking too much smh. I know its still early plus he fixed my hienal hernia that could add on to pain as well.

@yvonne47 @katterbees. I’ve been drinking today. Drinking water and soup broth. Not much protein yet. Im not hungry at all either but i have to feed the belly. She seems to get a little angry after a while. I’ll remember to be careful with dehydration.

Congrats. I'm down 8 lbs since my surgery on the 23rd and I'm pretty excited too. I just went back to work today and people already notice my face is slimmer!

Hi Ilhill I was done on the 23rd also! YAYAYAY so happy to have found this board ?

I'm just making it home from the hospital. Everything has been ok so far. Oh except for that sneeze I thought was going to kill me. I'm trying to get my fluid in. I've already have 32 oz today. I'm going to try to drink this protein water so I can get a 2 for 1
