Protein Shakes

I'm pre-op and trying to prepare by finding a shake I can choke down. So far Premier Protein chocolate mixed with coffee seems best. I tried GNC Lean Shake, and I nearly spit it out. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth, it was like taking a straight spoonful of Splenda. I was so disappointed, I had been stoked about the Orange Cream flavor and the 9 grams of fiber. Unfortunately I spent 40 bucks on the tub. I'm wondering if I can do it half-and half with unflavored whey so as not to waste it. Any recommendations for shakes that don't have that terrible sucralose/stevia aftertaste, or what I can add to minimize it? Thanks!

I've enjoyed Muscle Milk's products as well as Isopure and Gold Standard. Right now I've got Synthia-6, 2 things of Isopure and 1 Gold Standard Casein (slow acting protein used for overnight muscle support).

Are you asking about pre-made shakes or about the protein powder? I have not tried any protein powder yet, but I really like and can recommend the Premier Protein chocolate pre-made shakes. I've tried Atkins (both regular and with fiber) and find the Premier are better. As for other flavors of the Premier, I've tried the stawberries and cream (tolerable but just okay...) and the banana cream, which I use in my morning smoothies. It is pretty good mixed with the other flavors, but not as good as the chocolate. As a matter of fact, I'm having my lunchtime shake right now. Yummy!

And like forest animal crying in the woods I like Premier Protein,Peaches and Cream and Muscle Milk Strawberry best of the ones I've tried, nobody seems to agree with me!
