Dying for bread

Hey guys I’m one month post op and I’m dying to eat bread. Has anyone had bread yet? Will it kill me? LOL I haven’t had any carbs since before the pre surgery liquid diet.

I just advanced to phase 3 yesterday (soft foods), which allows me to have half a piece of 100% whole wheat toast with margarine. I tried it this morning for breakfast and didn’t have any issues with it.

It depends on your plan. But I have bread it some form as a regular part of my diet, and I still stay relatively low carb.

Thank you both! I may try the 1/2 piece of whole wheat! ?
I often eat one piece of whole wheat bread with peanut butter. It’s a good snack before hitting the gym. I am three months out but my progression allowed it at about 6 weeks.
