Hey all! There are sooo many topics out there and the one I see for August was for last year! Let’s discuss, the good and the bad! I am having my surgery in August. I have one more supervised visit and the off the insurance I go!

I am scheduled for August 15. Just started the pre-op liquid diet this morning. Wheee!

Hello all scheduled for 17 August

At the end of every day I need to celebrate getting through liquid diet!

And I will celebrate being on Day#4 of my liver-shrinking diet and I AIN'T BUCKLED YET! And they said someone,my age couldn't do it. I,must have deep resources no one gave,me credit for!???

Well surgery was at 7:30am, woke up in recovery at 9:30 with tightness in chest that decreased slowly. No nausea, taking fluids well. Also no pain where they made the incisions. They gave me oxy for pain which helped take the edge off. Feeling more normal by the hour, I've walked 3 times so far.

Question, by getting the sleeve, does that help with fatty liver, cholesterol, and high blood pressure?

I had my Gastric Sleeve July 31, 2017. Two weeks before surgery my Dr. put me on a liquid diet. I lost about 10 lbs. in those 2 weeks. Overall I’ve lost about 65 lbs. My weight loss has slowed down a little, but at least it’s staying off so far. Those first two weeks after surgery were a little rough, LIQUID DIET, then gradually start soft foods. I’m happy with the weight I’ve lost so far. Hope to have met my goal by next summer.
