my results came the found a mass in the lining of my stomach and took biopsy to test them and make sure its not bacteria in my stomach

Docs also want to see if you have any ulcers, gastritis etc.

they can find an array of things which will help in determining which surgery you have and how they perform the surgery and to treat issues prior to surgery

For the sake of the surgery, they are typically looking for, as above, signs of damage from GERD (acid reflux), gastritis, esophagitis or Barrett's esophagus (precursors to cancer of the esophagus), H. Pylori infection or ulcers - things that directly impact the surgery or choice of procedure - or any masses or polyps that may be cancerous or pre-cancerous (which are really nice to find early, if you are going to find them!)

im awaiting for my test results and hoping that everything comes negative.

Usually takes about a week for pathology results (give or take a few days).

They found H. Pylori and I can’t stop thinking about how the heck would I have ever gotten treatment for it had I not been trying to get surgery because I felt perfectly fine. On another note there’s nothing to worry about even if they do find anything like an ulcer a hernia an infection or whatever it won’t delay your surgery they’ll treat it or fix it while they do your Bariatric surgery. You’ll be ok [emoji108]

I’m hoping. When he said it doesn’t look cancerous but we need to make sure I still get cold I don’t have symptoms either

They found I had a hiatal hernia which will be fixed during the surgery.
