Not doing great with protein

Had my surgery 5/3, so tomorrow is a week. I have had no pain and an easy recovery. The only thing I really notice is I'm ready for bed by 630pm instead of my normal 11ish.

My only real problem is getting my protein in. I can't stand the protein water. It's like drinking soap. My doctor said I could do the protein shakes mixed with water 50/50. I'm struggling to get one in. I'm really trying to get my water/water+protein in but it's a true struggle.

I'm hoping tomorrow I get passed to purees and maybe that'll help me get better proteins for the day.

And hopefully once I do better with my protein I won't be so darn tired by early evening.

Tips or advice appreciated to help me reach my daily goal.

Hey, that protein shot is pretty cool! Is it a volume thing? I didn't get any protein for the first week -- just clear liquids, so you should be OK nutritionally so far.

At GNC get a good unflavored protein mix, I think I have Genepro. Can mix it into anything.

I use Unjury protein with almond milk. It is made for bariatric patients and dissolves better. I gag on protein water too. I add plain protein to chicken broth and tomato soup.
