Weight Lost During Pre-Surgery Diet

Hi,

I've only lost eight pounds on my pre-surgery diet. I have this fear that my surgeon is going to think I cheated. I haven't cheated at all. Eight pounds is what I had been losing a month, so maybe it'll be okay?

How much weight did you lose on your pre-surgery diet?

If you are talking about your preop liquid diet, then I'm pretty sure that 8 pounds is going to be on the upper end of the spectrum so I wouldn't worry about your doctor caring or thinking that you cheated.

That's about what I lost on my 2-week pre op.

And I'll hope I duplicate that when my time comes?

It was about the same for me too. You should be proud! A typical months worth of weight loss in such a short time is a big deal!
