Any June 2018 Sleevers in Here?!

  • Popular Post

Just got my date today, 06/18/18. I’m partially excited, and also terrified. I’m very happy to have a date to work towards and get everything in a row, because the unknown was driving me crazy!

Good luck Nicole!!
@sentaric I was responding to Lisarocks ? I had my vsg surgery on June 4th. I go for my two week post op check tomorrow morning! And absolutely reading all the posts here kept me sane during my 2 week pre op liquid hell diet And certainly afterwords when I was 48 hours out of surgery and sure that I had made a mistake. This forum has been super helpful! ?????
@Nicole You’ll do great! You’re getting a new start tomorrow. Definitely check in with us and tell us how you are. Good luck!!!!
Thanks so much. Just finished first of seven liquid days. I am eager to get healthy and feel good again. What is the “binder” someone mentioned? Haven’t heard anything about that. A little concerned about possible complications, and knowing what to do after. Happy I found this site. Thanks for the warm welcome
Nicole be sure and update,us when your surgery is concluded. We officially adopted you into. our little family here, now that, you. are we are going to worry until, you reassure us you're doing fine!?
The binder is like a wrap some surgeons wrap you in right after surgery. It helps with the incisions and gravitational pull on your stomach. It just wraps around your stomach. I love mine.
@Lisarocks my pain meds weren’t working properly and once that was fixed everything was peachy! The drive home was hard, definitely bring a pillow to hold against your tummy, it helps. The first few days I could barely get my water in and I was scared because I was hardly getting any protein, but after reading comments here and people telling me to just get my fluid in and the protein would come secondary it eased my mind a lot. Now I can get my protein in like a champ and it’s not a big deal
I’m a week away from my date ?
And i hope sine i have been reading all this i don’t have that feeling lol
Tomorrow morning is my surgery. I’m first and have to check in by 6:30 am. It’s starting to feel very real.
You’ve got this Kimbirain!! Just remember why you’re doing this. We have your back ?
