Hello and Welcome!

Well I know that my cousin had the sleeve done. She has also had two c-sections. The first was emergency c-section so they cut her open pretty big. The second was just a planned c-section. There wasn’t any issues with her getting her Sleeve Surgery.

On the IBS...that’s a doc question!

Funny but most surgeon's lean toward sleeve if you've had abdominal surgery or I guess even c sections. Even if you had scarring , it's easier than wading through scars snd adhesions trying to find the right portion of small intestine to do anastomosis on. IBS, Manpower is correct, it's a medical judgement but if you want my humble opinion sleeve for you better. Besides if your intestines are cranky with IBS, that should help keep them slumbering. But discuss it with your surgeon, he might have a deeper concept to present. Its up to you and Senor Medico.[emoji13]

Welcome! I’m new as well. My first meeting for an evaluation with the surgeon and team is on April 16th. I’ve also had two c-sections. I’m excited and scared, but I’m pre-diabetic, in pain constantly, on the road to heart issues that run in my family, and the weight is holding me back from living my life to the fullest. I have IBS, and I’m having VSG next month. My surgeon apparently doesn’t think it’s an issue.

Hey there,
I had 2 abdominal surgeries approximately 15 years ago. Scar tissue and the fear of having open surgery scared the crap out of me. Needless to say, I was sleeved on Monday 4/2/18 without complications. I’m 2 days post op and currently recovering in my hotel room
