How long after surgery can I take medication pills in whole instead of crushing them?

I was taking them Day 1. Day 2 I was taking honking gabapentein capsules.

My keppra pill must be crushed big pill the rest the doc said for a while I need to know what is while means to him? 4 weeks, 2 months?

I was told eight weeks in my information. You need to clarify this with the surgeon. He needs to give you an actual answer.

I started slowly introducing smaller medicine, smaller than a regular m and m, after that time. I’ve not had trouble since but never had problems swallowing pills. I still use chewable vitamins.

My program allows anything the size of a pencil eraser or smaller immediately. I think they said to wait on the bigger stuff 8 weeks - but I was taking smaller capsules earlier than that. I'd say it was right around 8 weeks when I felt like I could take something really big without discomfort.

I think it's more caution from my surgeon if anything. Because of my achalasia Type lll.

My doctor had me taking massive calcium pills the day after surgery.
