Constipation

Hi, y'all. This is my first time here. I had severe constipation. I wound up taking Fleet suppositories which finally helped (after taking oral stool softeners, drinking lots of liquids, eating healthy fats). This lasted days and was blindingly painful. I thought I might have to go to the hospital. Has anyone experienced this?

I am 160 days post RYN surgery and this is the first time I've had a problematic bowel movement. Pre-surgery, I always had diarrhea, so this was very foreign territory. I seek to learn of medical and non-medical remedies and coping mechanisms.

Thank you,

Cindi

Smooth Moves herbal tea works quite well, organic and not super punishing on your system, plus, it's in water so you are getting some water intake as well!

Yup. My new normal. I take 400 mg of colace daily and still don’t go regular. I take dulcolax on my days off. I don’t like miralax because I can’t ever get a clean break.....I know many that swear by it though.

Thank you so much, ladies. This is helpful. I am going to look into your suggestions.

A bidet was life changing for me
