Did anyone else not have a required pre-op diet, other than the “no food after midnight” on the day of surgery rule? I’m two weeks out from surgery and was not given a specific diet to follow.

I have heard of this, but this was not my experience. My surgeon preferred a strict 2 week liquid diet to shrink the liver.

But yes, I have heard other people say they did not have a pre-op diet.

I know of other clinics that don't require anything but clear the night before. Unfortunately though my clinic did a ten day liquid diet.

I wasn’t required a pre-op diet either. Nothing to eat after 12 night of surgery and 12 oz of a carbonated drink the morning of.

I didn't have a pre-op liquid diet. I lost 99 pounds during my six month insurance-required pre-op diet program, so my surgeon told me that I did not need the pre-op liquid diet. He does require it for most people.

I didn't have a preop period diet, I just had to follow the NUT plan until the day before then just clear liquids and then nothing at all the night before surgery
