Just had surgery last Monday

Hi everyone,

Hope your all having a great Sunday morning. I am extremely excited to start this new journey. I was trying to find a place where I could ask questions or just feel support from others that have gone through this same experience. I'm excited to learn new information from everyone here. :D

Thank you Tealael have you had surgery or are planning to?

I had sleeve surgery about 7 weeks ago but can't seem to update my profile

Lpz0714,

Welcome, I had my WLS on July 2nd 2013. I had the RNY but some things cross over in both WLS. If you need any questions that I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask. Again Welcome!!

Super happy, I had no complications so it was smooth sailing for me

Research everything

Don't buy too much ahead of time

Follow your plan closely

Walk even if it's only for a few mins indoors

Smile in the mirror even if you don't like what you see yet

Track food and water meticulously

Don't become a slave to the scale

Wow thank you for the advice Tealael I especially appreciate the comment about smiling at myself. I have to remind myself it is little by little and I will eventually meet my goals. I was worried about the scale but I'm glad you mentioned to not become a slave. I will do my best and be patient. Thank u again for your kind words. ?
